Focus Cafe is a front-end focused web application I designed and developed to help users stay productive using the Pomodoro technique. The app emphasizes simplicity, personalization, and seamless user experience.
The user interface was designed with minimalism in mind—clean, distraction-free, and intuitive—so users can stay focused on their tasks without visual clutter.
Users can sign in using their existing Google, Spotify, or GitHub accounts via OAuth, making onboarding fast and frictionless.
Users can create and manage a list of tasks they want to focus on. Tasks can be selected as the current focus during Pomodoro sessions, helping to track effort across specific goals.
The app features a built-in Pomodoro timer that guides users through focused work sessions followed by short breaks, promoting productivity and preventing burnout.
Users can personalize the app by selecting from a set of predefined themes, which change the color palette for the UI and background media (images or videos) to suit their environment or mood.
To enhance the work environment, users can paste a Spotify playlist URL to embed and play it directly within the app—helping create a focused atmosphere through music.
